Berlin, Massachusetts Youth Soccer

Berlin's Soccer Association offers Fall and Spring soccer opportunities:

  • U4, PreK and Kindergarten co-ed program on Saturdays that includes an introduction to soccer through fun practice and small-sided games.
  • Grades 1 and 2 Co-ed program is comprised of practice 1 day a week, and a game on Saturday.  Berlin partners with Boylston. Home games are hosted at Berlin Memorial School while away games are at Hillside in Boylston.
  • Grade 3 and above split into Boys team(s) and Girls team(s).  At this level, our teams are part of the Nashoba Valley Youth Soccer League (NVYSL).  We must follow the strict guidelines associated with the league, including the early registration of teams and players.  At this level, they practice twice a week and Away games could be in any town within the league.
  •  Registration Timeframes are based on Nashoba Valley Youth Soccer League's schedule.
  • Fall Soccer Registration is usually done in June, with a deadline in August.
  • Spring Soccer Registration is usually done in February with a deadline in March.
  • We are an organization run by Volunteers, from administration to coaches.  We welcome you to join us in our soccer program for our children of Berlin.  You can volunteer during the registration process for your child or you can contact the president anytime.
  • The Berlin Youth Soccer Association provides opportunities to play soccer for all children living in Berlin, attending school in Berlin, or who have at least one parent residing in Berlin.

Our Philosophy

ALL training for young players should be done WITH the ball to produce soccer players that have superior touch and technique. Any fitness that is needed occurs from playing and "soccer ball touch" aerobics, drills and games need to be done at full speed.  Coaches incorporate the "ball" in all aspects of training, so each player is exposed to hundreds of ball touches at each training session.
